Very Rare Rudall Carte Tenor Flute In Eb EXTRAORDINARY ONE OF A KIND?

<p>This is an extremely rare Rudall Carte Tenor flute in low Eb. Well, I thought I was buying an alto flute when I bought it, but to my surprise it was longer and larger bore. We have double checked it to a tuner and it is definitely in Eb, as weird as that may sound. According to Rudall Carte archives it was made in the 1950s for a flute band. I do not know if other examples exist, but this is the only one I've ever seen. Body and head are nickel silver, and this one only has range to low D. This has just been completely overhauled in our shop and is ready to play!</p>
