Here's is an excellent King Schmidt model double horn in F/Bb with the piston 4th valve. WOW! The Schmidt model horns are legendary. Unbelievable response and tone color, the Schmidt horns are in many ways an archetype for every other instrument that came after. The unusual valve arrangement (3 rotary and one piston valve) is a favorite with those who know these horns, and they are hunted to near-extinction throughout the world. This one is in excellent condition. It is a 4 valve double in F/Bb, and is suited for soloistic or orchestral playing. Stands in F, piston change to Bb. Valves are excellent, tight, and have just been shop adjusted. This instrument has had an overhaul and relacquer at some point. This horn plays very well!
