This is an excellent Getzen Custom model 3062AFR bass trombone with the much-vaunted dual-Thayer valves. I'm normally not a big fan of Getzen instruments, but I have to say that these Getzen Custom trombones are some of the best symphonic instruments on the market. They play with a full, direct sound that has a lot of core but is still easy to control. This one is excellent. Original lacquer is 90%, with minor wear and wha tlooks like an acid bleed around the rim (see pics). Thayer valves are excellent. Slide is terrific.
