<p>Here is an EXTRAORDINARY C.G. Conn Armored Clarinet in Bb. Wow! The armored clarinets were perhaps the best jazz clarinet ever built. They feature a sterling silver wrap around a hard rubber core (hence the name Armored) and they are loud and have a very projecting sound and brilliant high register. Conn made many models of armored clarient but the 1634N was their top level instrument, the very best they made.
<br />This one is in wonderful condition. Features original gold plate and custom engraving, and the plating (satin gold on the body, bright gold on the keys) is in excellent condition and shows very little wear (see pics). This instrument has just had a complete overhaul by our clarinet specialist who reports that it is a fantastic playing, and is ready for your Benny Goodman cover band. </p>
