Here's an excellent Selmer Model 1492B composite oboe. Selmer USA makes excellent student and intermediate oboes The 1492 is great for the advancing oboist. It features a resonite body with wood grain finish, a basic conservatory system to low B, and silver-plated keys. The key system with newly designed French arms is fluid, light to the touch and easily maintained. The addition of highly contoured cork pads make for a student level oboe with response like no other. This particular horn is in superb condition. This oboe is ostensibly a display model, but I see no sign it has ever been played. Pads and action are perfect, and this oboe plays great as is.

We purchased this instrument directly from the manufacturer and have just serviced it in our shop. It has only seen extremely light use as a demo or display model. In superb condition and ready to play!
